Sandra: Multiple Sclerosis

In August 2009, I went to my family physician because I was experiencing some unexplained numbness which started on my right pinky finger and toe.  Multiple routine tests were ordered, but nothing was found to be wrong so we just summed it up to be stress.
Two months later on Oct 27, I was struck with similar symptoms which were more aggressive; my entire right arm felt numb with tingling in all my fingers and face.  I immediately called my doctor only to be directed to the nearest ER.  The ER doctor ran tests to see if I had experienced a stroke. The test results showed that I did not have a stroke, however the CT scan of my brain showed abnormalities – excessive white matter (scar tissue). With this finding, I was admitted for further testing. The neurologist immediately began testing for Lyme Disease, Alzheimer Disease and MS. The first two possibilities were ruled out fairly quickly leaving the MS, which required extensive testing, including a lumbar puncture.  After several days of testing, I received the news of the UNINVITED GUEST that had invaded my body and I was immediately referred to an MS specialist. I went to two different doctors for a second and third opinion only to find that after reviewing all my labs and upon examination, the diagnosis was conclusive. I had MS.  I was advised that I needed to immediately start injecting myself with Betaseron or Copaxsone to prevent the progression of the disease, which would lessen the chances of ending up in a wheel chair. I was truly devastated.
Although I was truly devastated that I had to bear yet another great hardship in my life I knew that God brought me through the loss of my daughter; and, as Pastor Jonathan has preached, hardships come our way to build character and make us stronger. So, my attitude was good. I knew God would turn this bad report into a testimony and strengthen me to do great works in his Kingdom. I stood fast believing, refusing to give in to what the doctors repeatedly said and recommended.  Finally, my doctor said that I had to start taking the MS medication. I negotiated a deal with him that if he ordered another MRI and there was new evidence of the disease progressing, I would consider taking the medication.  He agreed and the MRI was ordered.
What my doctor didn’t know was that on a Wednesday night while Pastor Jonathan was allowing the Holy Spirit to take over the service, under a powerful anointing, I was touched so strongly by the healing power of God.  I did not feel heat as some do. I felt a gentle cool breeze consume my body and when it was gone, I shivered.  Because of this supernatural touch, I knew with all my might the MRI was going to be fine.  Below are the findings to the follow-up MRI.  It speaks for itself that God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

“Although the patient has a history of multiple sclerosis, these findings are not classic for multiple sclerosis and do not meet the McDonald criteria necessary for the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.”
